While I agree that calling ministers "rabble, outcasts" and "pinheads" is tasteless and asinine, I'm not sure you can call someone a liar for stating their opinions. A lie is a distortion or contradiction of the truth. If the truth is, in pel's opinion, that some of these men are "rabble, outcasts" or "pinheads", then the truth is--that's what pel thinks.
However, I don't think name calling is productive from either side of the fence, and IMO, pel should apologize and edit his statement.
