Re: Abraham Gave not Paid Tithes
In Hebrews chapter 7, it says Avram "gave" a tithe (verses 2 and 4) and "paid" a tithe (verse 9).
In Matthew 23:23 Jesus uses the term "pay tithe" and in Luke 18:12 the self-righteous Pharisee said he "gave tithes."
Seems like the terms are used interchangeably.
