Thank you for that post.
I've never been to IBC and have no idea who the person you are talking about is.
But, it's good to see positive things said about ministers when we so often hear just the bad and the negative.
In
Acts 13:25 the Apostle Paul speaks about John the Baptizer fulfilling his course. In verse 36 he mentions David serving his generation. In
2 Timothy 4:7 as Paul looks back over his life and toward his impending death, he says, "I have finished my course."
I believe God has a plan for each of us --a course-- something He wants for us to do for Him. The Purpose Driven Life emphasizes this.
Evidently Jim Sleeva has found his course, the way he is to serve his generation, and he is doing it well.
We tend to notice the hot dog singers and preachers and some times slobber and fall all over ourselves as we make them our idols. But, there is a large company of people who quietly serve God unnoticed by the multitude.
Thank God for that company of "real" servants of God. It is my opinion that they are the ones whose works will be revealed as gold, silver and precious stones at the bema judgment seat of Christ while others will just stand there knee deep in ashes with empty hands as their wood, hay, and stubble are burnt up.
