This is the Church of God ( Restoration ) Movement that came out of Guthrie, OK. Elder Danny Layne is their Bishop. I know several of their people and they are a dear bunch.Their standard is very similar to the one we have locally. Please pray for these dear folks.
Yisroelm, I found that to be a very interesting site (their homepage is churchofgod.net).

I feel drawn to groups like this - no doubt attributable to my own upbringing... I especially enjoy seeing these "plain people" praise and worship like Spirit filled people do.

I might not last long in a group like that though. It's not just the clothes that are black & white - their absolute rigidity of doctrine is troubling... On issues that I would hope to see acceptance or at least tolerance they have harsh words to say.

Concerning tongues "false doctrine of hell".

Veils: "erroneous teaching of a material head covering" they also seem to equate "long" and "uncut".

Fermented and unfermented wines are "Bad Wines" and "Good Wines"

Also, this is among their sacred doctrine: "We most emphatically believe and proclaim that we are living in the time of the “breaking of silence” (Rev. 8:1) and the sounding forth of the seventh trumpet (Rev. 11:15-19),"

Also, do you know their stance on D & R? Just curious - they don't seem to address it on the site, so I would guess they accept it, unlike the plain people I know.

Most of them (the articles) I like though, or at least understand why they would take the strong stance that they do. While I am not sure I agree in practice, it is an evil generation we live in... I myself still struggle in finding the balance - between the Mennonite separatists and the permissive modernists that apparently most Christians are.

I am a firm believer in the Old Paths
