I think this is a very important point. Oftentimes in certain church cultures, there is so much responsibility placed on the believer to cry, yell, scream, moan, groan, etc...all in a specific effort to touch the throne room and petition God so that He will answer our prayers. And oftentimes we are told to pray for a specific amount of time ie. "Sweet Hour of Prayer". Prayer then becomes a very structured chore, doesn't it? Not saying these things are wrong in the proper context, but I can see how it could leave many people disillusioned with prayer.
