A couple somehow kept getting huge water bills, which they knew were not representative of their actual usage, and no matter what they did to conserve, the high bills continued. They even had everything inside and outside the house thoroughly checked for possible leaks---the water meter, the outdoor pipes, the indoor pipes, the underground pipes, all the faucets, the toilet bowls, the washing machine, the ice maker, etc. -- all to no avail.
One day, the husband stayed home because he was sick. While lying in bed, he kept hearing water running in the downstairs bathroom. When he finally got up to investigate, he finally stumbled onto the cause of the high water bills. Apparently, this had been happening all day long, whenever both husband and wife were at work, and/or no one was at home. Thinking that no one would believe his story, he videotaped 'the cause of the problem' to show as proof.
