There's a lot more to the story of the Siberian Seven. My late father and I followed this story back then. Many prayers went up for these people. Heard some of their testimonies in person. Others on tape.
Bro. N.A. Urshan and others, went to Russia and visited these people. It is easy to say of the late Bro. Urshan, that "he crowed a bit" and took credit for their release. I believe Bro. Urshan knew and gave credit to GOD for the release of the Siberian Seven. I personally heard a Christian Radio talk show host in Dallas give credit to some of his friends in high places. It might be interesting the things God would do if men didn't want to take the credit.
I don't believe for one moment that Bro. Urshan took the credit.
I believe the same GOD that delivered the children of Israel out of Egyptian bondage, set these people free. God used a man to lead them out too!
I guess you could say Moses "crowed a bit" too. God always used a man to deliver HIS people. But the GOD in/with that man did/does the work. GOD chooses those HE will use to do the job. Jesus chose his disciples too! He told them they didn't choose him, but he chose them. I'm sure Jesus got his instructions from his Father! He only said and did what his Father told him to do and say!
Wicked Haman was hung on the gallows he had prepared for someone else.
When mankind exalts themselves, GOD has a way of bringing them down. We all need to humble ourselves under the Hand of THE ALMIGHTY! I, for one would fear to lift up my voice against good men GOD uses. The fear of the LORD is still the beginning of wisdom, and of knowledge and understanding!
I wonder if the words concerning Bro. Urshan would be listed under the fruit
of the Spirit, (love, joy, peace, etc.) or would they better fit under the works of the flesh as listed in
Galatians 5:19-24.
These words are not for offense!
