Of course not. Why would a "Christian" need to be like "Christ"???

Shouldn't a Christian follow after the arbitrary rules of legalism and man's interpretation of the Scriptures???

Ha. My argument there for the longest was
"The world doesn't need another savior."
My perspective has changed there now,
and I've seen that picking up my cross
is how Christ becomes manifest in the physical plane.

Still waiting for Christ to return? then get busy.

Do you insulate yourself from those who seek your light?
Christ sought them out and fed them; by eating with them, hmm...

How do you feed a sinner by eating their food?
Without condemning them? (dang, gave it away)

Great point, rather one believes in a literal return or not.

Hmm; I believe in a literal return, also-
-to a Prepared Bride.

Re: Biblical Perfection Being Like Jesus

Great words MTD.

When our primary focus and desire, and hope in life is to become like Christ, and we deny our flesh through fasting, prayer, and reading the Word, becoming like HIM will be the natural progression that takes place. If we strive to be LIKE JESUS in all things we do, it will cause us to take a second look at most of the things we do. It will be a daily, ongoing battle, that will never finish until we are changed from mortal to immortality or at death. Salvation indeed is free, Christ indeed has paid the cost, but we will spend the rest of our lives indebted to the one who granted us our freedom and liberty.

Thank you for spreading this message of true Christianity - striving to be like Christ.... without attaching all the manmade rules, and laws.... once we get the cart behind the horse where it belongs, our lives will begin to evidence the fruit of the spirit, when the life of Christ is allowed to reign in our lives.
