Week After resurrection!
Today is the day two thousand years ago that Jesus showed Himself to doubting Thomas. He told him to look and touch his nail wounds and spear wound. He said Thomas believed because he saw. Blessed are those who haven't seen and yet believe!
Thank God for grace for those who slip up after the resurrection and fall under the temptation, "Seeing is believing."

Re: Week After resurrection!
I think you are off by a day. John 20:26 says it was "after 8 days" that he showed himself to Thomas. That would be Sunday evening (beginning of the second day of the week) at the earliest, possibly Monday morning. Of course "after eight days" COULD mean any day after 8 days, but it seems likely to mean either Monday or Tuesday.

Re: Week After resurrection!
I preached on this very thought today. My focus was believing without seeing and walking by faith instead of sight. We had an awesome service, which led to a prayer line, and most of the church was praying one for another. Awesome service. I hope to have some testimonies later.

It's definitely a good thing when the saints pray for one another.

Perhaps. It seems AFTER often means ON as with the resurrection.
Mark 8:31 And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
Luke 18:33 And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.

Re: Week After resurrection!
After means "on" IF the scripture says so, IMO. But even if it was "on", that would put it on Monday. The fact he said " eight" strongly suggests it was more than just a week later. Not that the detail is all important. The main thing is ALL the remaining apostles saw him, and were eyewitnesses of the most monumental event in human history.

From the start of one week to the start of another is eight days, not seven . A week is seven days. The eighth day would be the start of the next week. That is why circumcision occurred the eight day. A message of new beginnings. A "new creation" week, so to speak.

But the first Sunday is included. The days are inclusive. You agreed with the third day deal and resurrection.
