John Legend, Babyface, and M.C. Hammer Share What?
This denomination isn't just the launchpad for the careers of popular secular artists either. It has also seen the rise of gospel artists like Marvin Sapp, Fred Hammond, Dietrick Haddon, Jonathan Nelson, Anthony "Tonex" Williams, Byron Cage and more.

I knew about some of these guys, but not about John Legend and not about Fred Hammond.

John John Legend was raised Baptist. The article is claiming PAW. Is the denomination proud of producing secular artists?

Not many know the difference between the beat and the Spirit.

I think they take pride in talent over consecration.

Re: John Legend, Babyface, and M.C. Hammer Share W
Used to be a big Tonex fan. He was oneness Pentecostal. His "Out the Box" live recording had a track where he started preaching acts 2:38 and the oneness. He came out years ago as homosexual, said in an interview that he believes God honors same sex unions and he didn't believe it was something of which he needed deliverance.
I have an acquaintance from MI who told me about Hammond, Cage, Sapp and Haddon.
I believe Kurt Carr is also oneness Pentecostal, though I've read he was a music minister at a Baptist church before he started recording. Murrell Ewing's daughter, Vonnie Lopez, has frequently collaborated with KC on his albums.
I did not know about Legend, Babyface or Hammer. Sad to see such talent turn their back on God and run after worldly lusts and applause.
I was disappointed to see Tasha Cobbs Leonard feature Nicki Minaj on her new album. Her response to the backlash was that she (Tasha) has seen Nicki's faith when she's not on the stage and that she has a great relationship with God.
Because it's all about that praise, bout that praise, no treble.

There’s a saying that if you don’t make it as a rapper you can always move to Atlanta and pastor a church.
Ok. Not a saying. It should be.
