Are Nuclear Weapons Haram in Islam?

Last night I was having a discussion with an individual who brought up that Nuclear weapons are haram. Like a slab of pork. The individual mentioned that the Iranian Supreme Leader made a fatwa concerning a nuclear weapon program. I then said "well, isn't that an opinion?" The individual stated that while being an opinion, its an opinion concerning an edict within religious law. Meaning, its an opinion concerning an issue which is a sin. Not always, but concerning something which is haram, unclean, sin, it should be observed.
Therefore the issue of Iran seeking to build a nuclear weapon would be against a degree, opinion of their Supreme Ruler (pope) who deemed nuclear weapons as sinful.

Pakistan has nuclear weapons. Saudi Arabia wants them if Iran gets them. Remember the average Muslim believe Muhammad did not r**e a child. They also kiss a rock.

Either that, or they are tightly controlled by a single organization. If Pakistan has nukes, they would definitely have been used by now, repeatedly. By the way, if Pakistan has nukes, officially, then why haven't we invaded them? Pakistan created the Taliban, was supposedly sheltering Osama Bama Dingdong, and routinely produces lots of nice "terrorists" every year.

Then again, so does Saudi Arabia, and they are Israel's and our ally, so there's that.

The only country in the Middle East which has nuclear weapons is Israel.
Iran has a fatwa against nuclear weapons. We are talking about a country of 90 million people who are no threat to us. Israel wants to be the dominate force in the Middle East. Period. Donald Trump is Israel’s hand maiden. Facts are plain. We are heading towards a financial Armageddon. Yet we are stuck in the Middle East hemorrhaging money? But, since Southern Baptists, and Charismatics have been bottle fed some extra Biblical nonsense concerning Israel. We can’t see what the scripture is actually trying to say. We get manipulated to believe the Arab world wants to destroy our freedom? No, the Arab world wants to stop Israel’s boyfriend from stomping them into a bloody mud puddle. Look, Israel is America’s bad girlfriend. She starts the fights, she escalates the situations, then America has to step in and start busting up the offenders. Iran making a nuclear weapon? Why? When they know we would rip their spinal cords out? Israel has 7 million people. Iran has 90 million. If we sent them out to the parking lot to fight it out, logically Iran would walk back into the bar. But as long as Israel has Bone Crusher Jones as her boyfriend there is no way anyone is going to step up.

We are at a moment in time where people need to figure it out. I hope to Jesus, that we do. Until then all we can do is pray that we don’t get dragged down with the stone.
