What to do...

Maybe someone can help...

I've been a bit discouarged. I have had to miss a bit of church due to 2 serious afflictions. And seem to be being treated coldly by preacher, his wife and members. We are not a large group of people at all so it is easy to know when your being ignored. They are not real good at ministering to the sick / discouarged. I've prayed and fasted and have tried to get the victory.
I apologize for sounding like a baby, but anyone on the forum who has had to deal with major sickness will understand. I do appreciate your prayers.

Re: What to do...

I do understand where you are. Been there delt with it on both aspects. As a pastors wife and as the sick one on the other end. I know it is not easy and if I wasnt hurting so bad right now I would definitely write more but I have to get out of this chair very soon. I will be praying with and for you about this.

One thing is.. and I know a lot hate to hear this but just a thought. When you are sick and going to be unable to miss do you call the pastor? If so this might give him a reason to ask why and then you can tell him you are sick and he will know more and be more involved at the same time.

Bro L,

I certainly will pray for you. Take courage knowing that others are praying for you and care about your circumstance.

CB1

"Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this i know for God is for me.
In God will i praise his word:in the Lord will i praise his word. In God have i put my trust: will not be afraid what man can do unto me."

There's nothing like a jaw-breaking blindside with a cudgel to let people know how you really feel. Hallmark and AT&T have got nothing on your local lumber store!

But seriously, most people are not against you. They are just for themselves. It is very easy to misinterpret the actions of others and harbor resentment until it becomes an all-out offense.

You could take up barbed-wire sculpting as a form of stress release . . . . just a thought.
