Libs, Mods and Cons Don't You Think It's Time?
I heard this song last night and thought of AFF.
I think some of the words are appropriate for us.

Re: Libs, Mods and Cons Don't You Think It's Time?
I would be put by others into the "liberal" camp, although I would be considered by non-UPC people to be conservative. I have no ought whatsoever for those who are in any 'camp', I really do feel like we should be able to, in the words of Loren Yadon, "Fellowship the Difference". I have family that still maintains strict dress standards, and I would never consider trying to convince them otherwise, they must pursue their walk with God and I am not in any place to judge it.
I love my pentecostal roots, and will never leave them, though I have left some of the "externals" behind. I am here because I enjoy spending time with others of the same basic faith, even though we may disagree on the way that it is met out.
I agree, let's build a bridge

The basic and fundamental doctrine of this organization shall be the Bible standard of full salvation, which is repentance, baptism in water by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
We shall endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit until we all come into the unity of the faith, at the same time admonishing all the brethren that they shall not contend for their different views to the disunity of the body.

Build a bridge so we can fight on it! ++More dramatic if we are in the air!
Edit: Oh yes, pretty song with a great message. I remember the Corothers(spelling?) singing this.

Yeah, let's swing from ropes while we're at it. The Libs can assault us/them/whatever with the latest weapons.. as the Cons raid with:

Titus2woman on AFF
"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
