Steve Munsey History

I have seen Steve Munsey on TBN. I understand he shares an Apostolic church history. I have been around Pentecost twenty years, yet I am unfamiliar with him whatsoever. I would appreciate any biographical information that anyone would like to share.

Thanks

Re: Steve Munsey History

I know he is from Indiana-His parents pastored a church there- forgot what city. His mother's name is Ruth Munsey, I think his Father name Frank??. He is married to Melody Gerald Visger(sp). He was a "hot shot" evangelist in the 1970's in the UPC.

Good ol Steve. His brother Phil is a bit better. His mom and Dad are wonderful people...former missionaries to Africa. I knew them all. Steve held a great revival in Alexandria in the late 70s. He had big dreams even then.

I made him so mad once that I'm certain that I'm at least partially responsible for his bald spot. That was right before he left the UPC. 1982?

Were you at the 1982 General Conference? During the Home Missions service? That was me. But it wasn't my fault.

You know, I think that was 1981. BOOMM was there. He'd remember the date.

Re: Steve Munsey History

When my Dad pastored in NW Indiana in the late 70's, early 80's we would go to the Munsey's church for special services and of course the Passion Play (went the first year it was put on). We moved in 1982 and soon afterwards Steve's parents returned to the mission field and he was elected pastor of the church. It has become quite large since then. It used to be UPC.

Re: Steve Munsey History

My cousins lived in the Hammond area when I was a boy I use to visit them and when I did I would attend their church in the Summers. Steve and I were boyhood friends. I thought alot of his Father & Mother.
