Well, now that we've celebrated Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) and Ash Wednesday, we are now into Lent.
A few years ago I saw where "Lent" is in the Bible.
I hadn't realized it but it's there.
In
1 Samuel 1:27-28 Hannah says:
27 For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him:
28 Therefore also I have
lent him to the LORD; as long as he liveth he shall be
lent to the LORD. And he worshipped the LORD there.
Then, Eli says in
1 Samuel 2:20
20 And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, The LORD give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is
lent to the LORD. And they went unto their own home.
