UPCI Haters...

[Old Paths]

As I read through various posts and threads, I see and can feel an underlying hatred for all things UPCI.

If a UPCI preacher or church has a problem, it's reported by some with glee.

What's up with that?

The UPCI has done more to publish the only saving Apostolic message than any other organization.

Millions of dollars have been collected and spent by the UPCI to reach almost every corner of the globe.

I don't hate the UPCI, and I have family involved in it. And if a UPCI preacher or church has a problem, I, personally, don't have a feeling of glee.

What bothers a lot of people (including myself) is the attitude of exclusivity that runs rampant within the organization.

I'm not judging them. Unfortunately, exclusivity tends to plague many denominations in some form. But I've found it to be strong in the UPCI. Again, not judging, just saying what I've seen. I think there's a lot of great history in the UPCI.

The attitude of, " If your not UPC then your not in the bride".
Some don't even Cate if the standards ate the same, much less the doctrine.

In the arena of teaching Oneness and Acts 2:38 as the original plan of salvation I applaud the UPC. It was reading some of their tracts in the late 70's that helped me understand these important truths.
