Give it time. Businessmen, Politicians, and the Devil all know that to undermine the competition you gun for the leaders.
Like it or not, the UPC has provided doctrinal consistency and peace of mind for Oneness believers such as myself who have transferred from one location to another. The UPC is the leading defender of the apostolic faith in the world today.
The many slings and arrows hurled in the "general" direction of the UPC are testimony to its effectiveness in the Kingdom of God.
I make no apologies for the shortcomings of individual local pastors, nor for nepotism nor district cliques. I don't do it for the Catholics, the Episcopalians, or anybody else, either, for that matter.

If you find yourself in a church you can't stomach, or with a pastor you can't get along with, I highly recommend that you try another UPC church first.
When you just look for the word "apostolic" in the name of the church, you can find anything from snakes to synchronized spirit-dancing, and everything in between. Maybe even synchronized snake-handling? Here is the OP_Carl rule of thumb for independent apostolic churches: The longer the name of the church, the longer the snakes!
I hope it goes without saying that people should change churches discreetly, patiently and politely deflecting all direct questions about motives and differences.
