arrived in Brazil..

We left Houston on Friday...flew to Atlanta...missed our plan to Miami but caught another one...missed our plane to Sao Paulo after waiting 12 hours in Miami finally got on another one...when we went to see about flying on up to our place the Brazilian airline would not let us fly and we missed our original flight...so we got a hotel and today Brother Alvear is seeing about getting us a new flight to Maceio...what a hazzle...
We are tired and sore! However we are glad to at least be in Brazil. There is always a good side our son from Campinas is driving bringing his wife and baby to see us so we are getting to have an unexpected and unplanned visit with Raul Jr.

Sis. - my brother was scheduled to fly to Ecuador for a missions trip, and they had to cancel at the very last minute. Evidently some commercial flight crashed on the runway there Saturday and they don't have the equipment to clear it off and the whole airport had to close down!!! So he didn't get to go and they were all packed and ready to leave.

wow...South america is something else...we are fixing to check out of this hotel and find a cheaper one...hope it is not filled with bandidos! ha...love you.
