Are these the only kinds of standards one should follow?
I follow a set of standards that I have set for me and my family, but they aren't anything like the above.
Standards in any person's life is a good thing.
so every household should disregard the churches guidelines, the pastors guidelines ? every man does that which is right in their own eyes ?

Hmmm, church's guidelines, pastor's guidelines, rules, etc........don't see anything in here about personal convictions or a walk with God, Thad.
Or, do we not believe in hearing from God for ourselves? We need someone to write the rules down for us so we can check off our list of do's and don'ts....no depth there.......
