On the lighter side....

I'm going to Silsbee, Houston, and Galveston, next Friday on vacation with my hubby and the kids.

I've worked my tail off and I deserve a few days away.

Anyone got any suggestions as to what to do?

Re: On the lighter side....

Why Houston??? it's a swamp @ this time of the year.

Galvastan is very run down - no offense to the Houston
folks but I wasn't impressed at all. the water is murky
and brown.

Why not go to Branson, Orlando, California, or camping?

Because we are going to preach for Steadfast. Also, my kids love Bro. White and his family.

We love the Beaumont area and we are going to be with the Whites. We gave the boys choices of what to do and they chose to go be with the Bishop and his family.

They treat better than we deserve to be treated and always have so much fun. They are awesome people.

I want to go to Houston to shop and eat at Fogo De Chao!!!

I love that place it's awesome.......I only have to wait 6 days.

Also, not too sure if this is a good thing or not..... I get to meet Dan Christensen and his good wife. (his wife is good, not too sure about him.)

Yea I'm aware that there is a big get together going on down there
and I think that's probably better for the kids and the entire family.
Isn't there a youth camp going on to?? That may have passed
already not sure.

I introduce Kristin to that joint a couple weeks ago. I love that place!

Have fun. In lieu of short pants have the brethren roll their pants up a bit - it's the same thing.

Have a great time.

Sister, tell your husband he's missed around here. He made a lot of good posts back in the day. In fact, one of his posts went a long way to helping me let go of the bitterness that got hold of me after I left the uc crowd I had been associated with. Have fun on your vacation!
