But seriously, KW... it may just be me, but you seem to have fallen into the same exegetical trap as those you criticize. Do we really need the Bible to explicitly use the word "repent" before we can understand that the character in the account being described to us has truly been converted?
The fact that he went from being Paul and Silas's tormentor to being their comforter would seem to testify of his change of heart. Just let the narrative speak for itself and receive the message that the writers intended. Your polemic adversaries will take care of themselves.
