Big Apple
Kristin and I were able to visit the big city last week. It was a sobering thing to see Ground Zero. Seemed the city was busy and life goes on... makes me glad I don't know the future and what other sadness may lie ahead for the USA.

Last may when our ship left Port Bayonne in NJ and we sailed out of New York Harbour for Europe it was the first time we had seen Manhatten since 9-11. It seemed so strange not to see the World Trade Center Towers on the skyline.
We had been there just three months before they went down back in 2001. I regret that while I have been to the top of the Empire State Building twice I never made it up the World Trade Center. I wanted to one visit but the women in the family were "too tired" and said we could do it another visit. Arghhh!!!

My wife had been to NYC, but I had never been. (unless you count the airport) We hit some major attractions in a day trip with the help of a friend.
