Move over Gosselins: Apostolic Sextuplets Take NY

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/...24803f1f71ca97

Quote:
Kate Gosselin is about to get some company: A new family of sextuplets is moving in at TLC.

The network has ordered eight episodes of "Sextuplets Take New York," which will chronicle a family billed as America's first Latino sextuplets. It is set to premiere Sept. 14.

The series revolves around Victor and Digna Carpio, who are raising four boys and two girls in Queens, N.Y. All are 22 months old, recently have mastered the art of walking and soon will be talking. Each episode follows the daily challenges of raising the babies (50 diaper changes a day) and a 9-year-old son in a modest-sized home.

Nancy Daniels, senior vp production and development at the network said the network cast the family after doing a special on three sets of parents struggling with a multiple birth.

"We fell in love with them," she said. "All of our shows look at interesting families and interesting live. They're struggling with taking care of a lot of small children who are all the same age and overrunning their house."

The show will revolve around raising seven kids on a budget, plus staying healthy and active. It is sure to draw comparisons to TLC's sextuplet smash "Jon & Kate Plus 8," which since has morphed into a series of specials titled "Kate Plus 8."

"Kate" and "Sextuplets" are produced by Figure 8 Films.

TLC's big-brood reality programming has done well at the network, which also has "19 Kids and Counting" and the recently announced "Quints by Surprise," plus such other unconventional family portraits as "Little People, Big World" and "One Big Happy Family." The network also has the upcoming polygamy series "Sister Wives."

This couple was saved under my dad's pastorship in Queens, New York .... as of my knowledge they still attend Tabernaculo de Jesucristo ...

No worries, America .... the Carpios come from a very tight-knit extended family that has accumulated quite of bit of wealth through hard work and buying real estate in NY....

Most importantly ... over 40 of them are Apostolics. One serves on the church board.

Sanctified proud.

If you had faith of a mustard seed grain, says the Lord ..... You would tell the mountain: move and the mountain will move.

Thanks for the tv promo. Great that they're Apostolic.

(as I recall, the Gosselins had an AOG backgound)

Okay, she takes care of six kids all day long, makes him his favorite dish and he STILL can't get up and get his own spoon and ketchup?

I agree ... but many times traditional "values" of Latino culture can be blinding and binding ...

That said, his uncle, Daniel, is the best cook in this Ecuadorian family ... he's a chef and can throw down some Asian cuisine.

I think that's typical of a lot of men. My husband used to go look in the fridge, then go sit down in his recliner. Call me into the room and say......fix me a sandwich, with a list of how he wanted it made. I would ask him, weren't you just in the kitchen? He would say yeah, but I wasn't sure what I wanted then. But of course he worked hard all day, I was just raising 6 kids. But, now he makes his own......
