FRINGE_NUTTER WANTS TO KNOW - What is a Con and a Lib?

After lurking here for several days, I decided to choose a nicname and make a few posts. I am serious about this thread. I would like to know what defines "conservative" or "liberal" in the minds of the people on this forum.

I am somewhat of a fringe_nutter now to some here and to others I would be considered very liberal. This is strictly an educational thread for me and maybe other newbies to the Apostolic realm.

Thanks in advance. In 20 sentences or less define a conservative. In 20 sentences or less define a liberal.

After the serious part with the 20 sentences or less, then you can make the facetious comments.

I am new to all of this Apostolic friends board and would like to make up my mind which way I want to go.

Simple, if you are a nut you must be a freaky-con.

A con starts with culture and then finds scripture to justify it

A lib believes that scriptures should be viewed in cultural context and that you should not read things into the bible that are not there... in a strange way, libs should actually be the conservatives since they are the ones who do not want God's word to be added to.

Or one could say that a conservative is the one trying to conserve the principles taught in the Word of God and a liberal wants to legitimize thier lifestyle by trying to make the Word allow what it does not.

Simply put, you will never get cohesive definitions because everyone defines them from their perspective.

I am the center. Anything left of me is liberal, and anything right of me is conservative!

The bad thing about the middle of the road is you get hit coming and going.

I don't think so.....the middle of the road watches both sides go by without being hit.

Sis; Come let us reason together....

In some ways all are conservative, and in some ways all are Liberal The lableing has done damage to the respect and kindness every one deserves, and is scriptual.

Oh! to be Liberal in grace, mercy, forgiveness, giving, loving, the reciprocal gospel is liberal to us if we're liberal to Him.

Oh! to be conservative in stewardship, careful, tenacious, mindful of others needs, making sure everything we do for God has our best and most conscientious oversight, attendance, teaching, bibles studies making sure His word is the word we share.

Oh! to be balanced...across the fulcrom of dedication we must balance judgment with mercy, law with grace, holding fast with freely giving...

In all thy searching search for BALANCE!!!
