Dancing: Ever acceptable outside Shockamoo?
Is all dancing sinful? I personally don't think so whether it's in church or out.
We used to square dance as hardcore conservative Mennonites. Seemed quite harmless to me and still does.
I think alot of folks have images of smoky bars and alcohol or gyrating pelvises at a rock concert, but it need not be that way.
I think Jesus danced, don't you?
Your thoughts?
P.S. As a side topic, do you think Jesus was pretty big on Shockamoo during worship services?

I hope you are serious - at least for the sake of discussion... in this thread.
What makes it problematic?
I understand they are carnal - at least in the sense that they are not spiritual, but how is that bad? Is exuberance and joy wrong unless it's spiritual in origin?

So you would stop your kids from dancing around the house or the yard? Moving to music at all? You don't ever groove to your favorite upbeat music? That's extreme. I'm not in agreement that all dancing is inappropriate. I dance around the kitchen all the time, by myself or with the kids.
