How many thrones?

How many persons and how many thrones do you expect to see in heaven?

This is alleged to be an illustration from one of the older Dake Bibles....

Re: How many thrones?

well in revelations the word throne can be used in a literal and figurative since.

That being said, we will sit down in Jesus throne as he sat down in His fathers throne, This is a figuartive speech cause we all are not literally sitting down on a throne.

In heaven there is at least 25 thrones spoken of, doesnt mean there isnt more.

However the 24 elders had thrones and the one spoken of in revelations ch 4 had a throne.

me personaly I believe i will see father and son side by side, but again the throneship can be a figurative one

In heaven? 1 but the word throne does not really refer to a chair. The bible says ALL of heaven IS God's throne. Throne simply refers to One's position or seat of rule/authority.

Christ has 2 thrones. Heaven and earth

Rev 22
3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

I believe there's ONLY one that will be seen

Are you saying that "before Jesus became the express image of God, God already had an image (which was not Jesus)?"

Ok, now, I understand your statement about "the Father being revealed to Moses face to face"

Exodus 33:11 And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

If we keep reading that chapter,
Exodus 33
20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
21 And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:
22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:
23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

Moses did not literally see the FACE of God. The conversation between Moses and God was a direct (or intimate) conversation just like a man speaking to his friend. The rest of Israel did not have that privilege. They stood afar off, but Moses was privileged to walk up to the mountain of God and speak to God directly.
However, Moses did NOT SEE THE FACE of God literally

John 1:18 "No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him."

1 John 4:12 "No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us."
