Having a great time at Texas Campmeeting

Having a great time at Texas Campmeeting with some folks on the forum. Tonight I was with IAintMovin, rrford and a few others.

Bro. Mooney preached tonight and did a great job... "Army against Army". Said a lot of good things that I wish the entire movement could hear before the television resolution ever comes up in Florida.

What was the gist of the Army vs. Army message?

David / Goliath: At one point, often unnoticed, the Bible tells us that even though Saul knew they would lose he was going to send out Army vs. Army.

Our army won't compare to their army.
Our talents won't compare with their talents.
Etc....

It has to have a spiritual directive to take the victory in this generation. David is the one that said, "I'll fight the giant and THEN we'll conquer the war."

Brought out a lot of good thoughts.

Did Bro. Mooney mention that David didn't have a sword of his own so he took Goliath's sword and slew him with it?

I'm sure he, as all the rest of us, knows that. But, alas, it had nothing to do with his sermon last night. Nothing remotely pertaining to it.

I reiterate, it was a GREAT message.

I was mostly just trying to poke at yah for the fun of it......

I really do love Bro. Mooney's preaching. He's in the top 5 of my favorite preachers.

A little point about the enemy being killed with his on weapon because God allowed it, might have been a good point to add though........

Go ahead and tell us, Steadfast. I'd love to hear his comments...

I posted a thumbnail sketch of what he said last night. Again, the message was good and - obviously - a lot more detailed than my feeble description..

One thing I found interesting, too, is that last night is the first time EVER that they had video cameras recording and projecting the preaching on a huge screen. Kind of strange to hear some who it bothered and then others who seemed pleased that it finally happened.
