A compulsory course is to be introduced in 2017 in Quebec, Quebec’s Education Department has said no exemptions will be made.

Sexuality will be taught to students from kindergarten to high school – five hours a year at the primary level and 15 hours a year in high school minimum, integrated into regular class hours.

It will teach students in Grade 1 the proper names for body parts. Grade 2 students will learn about the broad concept of consent by being told that no means no. Concepts of gender identity will be introduced in Grade 3, though the curriculum doesn't get explicit and positions sexual orientation as one of the potential qualities that distinguish people from one another.

Discussions about puberty move to Grade 4 from Grade 5, while education about intercourse will take place the following year. Masturbation and "gender expression" will be taught in Grade 6, while kids in Grades 7 and 8 will discuss contraception, anal and oral sex, preventing pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections.

This scares me because it will not be long before this is a national program in Canada and then it will of course leach down into the U.S. It scares me because parents will not be able to opt out, if they try their children will be taken form them. Also, (need to research this point further) this applies to private schools?

If I have been to blunt in my post I apologize to AFF, please censor at your discreation. The liberals will not allow us to just turn the other cheek, they intend to make us accept and participate. Most all of this stems from research done by Dr. Alfred Kinsey at Indiana U. IMO this situation with Kim Davis in Ky should be taken by all of us as a sign.

Wow, Egyptian Monarchy Education compared to 21st century Government Schools? You know how Pavlov's dog drooled when a bell rings, well, we were conditioned to jump at the bell ringing. We also were conditioned to go from classroom to classroom. Learning to sit in rows, to be silent as we worked, homework, homework, always working, learning that a life of standing on lines was normal. Here's a tray, stand in line, and have people throw food on your tray, just like prison. Well, it is prision, we are taught to be factory workers, professional prisoners. No, Egyptian education of a monarch is far far different then public schools. Albert Einstein was homeschooled, and he didn't stutter.

My kids went out of the public schools a few years ago and went to a christian school. Both graduated relatively recently.

I hope home school/christian school remains an option that would be exempt from such a mandate.
