A Word About Drinking, Drunks, and Those Who Rejoice in Their Sin

Which is worse,

1. A group of backsliders posting about consuming large amounts of alcohol and really enjoying it ?

or

2. A group of so-called Christians (some supposedly preachers) laughing and yucking it up with the backsliders, glorying in the good ole days when they used to get plastered, and wondering what kind of drunk they would be now?

You people disgust me sometimes.

It's one thing to allow ANYONE, including backsliders, to post here at will. Admin has been very kind in that regard.

Another entirely to openly tolerate, revel in, and promote sin. BTW, drunkenness IS sin. Admin shouldn't be required to put up with that garbage.

The whole "it's cool to be a backslider and promote my wickedness on AFF" thing is a little out of hand.

What about us who reject the 20th century tradition that it is even sin?
(And I must have missed the post where people were yucking it up about getting plastered.....)

Give me a break Randy! Go gloat about your sin somewhere else.

Your entire purpose was to debate about whether or not drinking was wrong.

Of course, there are just enough rejects on here to really enjoy that drivel.

How about Dan Alicea's comment, "I've always wondered what kind of drunk I would be?"

How idiotic is that statement?!

RW, there is nothing "20th Century" about drunkeness.

It is clearly a sin to be drunk. period. both OT and NT agree.

What did Paul say? And such WERE some of you! BUT you are WASHED.

Being drunk is a sin no matter what century you are in.

Yes, but you can drink without being drunk. Right?

One cannot state that any drinking is a sin. Paul told Timothy to take a little wine for his stomach's sake.

Paul also said a deacon should be a man of little wine.

i do not believe one can use scripture to justify getting a buz or even drinking any kind of hard alcohol (OT speaks directly against it.)

I dont think anyone can suggest that a glass of wine with dinner is a sin.

The issue is not about alcohol in moderation. It is about Randy Wayne glorifying drunkenness, and others wondering what kind of drunk they would be.

How stupid.
