I can't speak for everyone here. But I want to tell you that what I am taking away most from this discussion is a much greater appreciation for all that the admin has to do to keep this thing afloat. I've always known that it couldn't be an easy job. But hadn't really considered the thought that because of the individual stances of each person in the admin, that that could also be a completely different source of friction (not the word I want, but the only one I can think of right now). So basically, while we are all out here battling it out over some issue, the folks in admin not only have to read and know where they stand personally on the issue, but they also have to be able to, in an unbiased way, make sure that things do not get out of control.
I think you all have done a pretty doggone good job. Not perfect. But no one is perfect. But pretty great!!!

I think some posters are upset how Dan was treated (see Ronzo's blog thread) and now MOW leaves because he feels there is censorship going on...and GC is around the corner....so things are amusingly spicy right now. oloroid
You caught that too?
I wondered if the "issue" had anything to do with all of this.
I don't think it's necessarily true that how moderating is carried out is dependent on a lib/con bias. I've seen no real evidence of this.
Unless you know who the admin is posting a 'moderating' post (unless they post it under their own name), I'm not sure there is a way to tell from our side.
But it recently happened to me that was caught a month later, wasn't against the rules, and nobody complained, yet I was warned...whether or not it was because I'm considered a lib is anyone's guess though. I'm not going there.

It's plausible for sure....people are in suspense...people are wondering what the repercussions might be at General Conference...will this be pushed aside till next year one more time, will it finally be addressed, will people come out swingin and throwin chairs...will the cons drop their cards on the pulpit on their way out, will they threaten to join forces with other con groups, THERE IS HUGE SUSPENSE, right now....will the AFF go ballistic in September with so many HOT debates...are the ADMINS ready for September fireworks...I CANT WAIT TO SEE.... oloroid
