Let's see if I've got this right. You're not the FINAL JUDGE! Just a "lower Judge!" So, if I'm not wrong, will I have to come back to your lower court or will you let the "Final Judge" overrule your poor judgement?
App.... why don't you go ahead and confess that you got no right (as well as any of the rest of us) to be judging at all, you're not qualified to be a "lower case judge"!
I'm not trying to change this to an Anti-UPC thread, but the greatest fault I remember in the UPC was their spirit of judging. "If you didn't measure up, you didn't stand a chance!"
Oh well, I better stop....I'll be judging you if I'm not careful!

The young man was so proud to be of help to the Lord and he sure wanted to make certain he did everything right.
He looked up and there was his mom and dad and he immediately welcomed them in. Following them was his brother and he again welcomed him into Heaven. There were some folks from his church that he was so proud to be able to swing wide the door of Heaven.
But suddenly there was a man whom he did not know. Fear gripped his heart. Would he get this right or would he miss something? After a few moments he called out loudly for the Lord to please come back to the gate.
With tears in his eyes he proclaimed to the Lord, "Lord I can't do this! I don't know this person's heart! I don't know if he's right or wrong! I may get it wrong!"
Whereupon the Lord spoke to the young man and said, "Your right son, your can't do it.....and further more, you can't do it back on earth either! You can't be judging and deciding who is right or wrong for you can't see their heart!"

So....Truthseeker, you're telling me that you can judge everyone in your church and be certain you're right by simply "inspecting their fruit!" Come on... fruit inspector is just a carnal way to justify judging!
You know nothing about a man's heart, in fact the scripture says you don't even know your own heart. So if I was you I'd be crying out to God as David did, "search me Oh God and know my heart" instead of being concerned about everyone's fruit.
Just my thoughts about the matter...I could be wrong!

Matt 7:20
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
I'm more confident in what Jesus says about it.

Re: Just How Complicated and Convoluted Can We Mak
When I was first saved it was simple. At least to me. I experienced an in rushing of the holy spirit and spoke in other tongues without any prodding at an alter, in fact it took place during our song service. I got baptized a few weeks later but am pretty confident I was saved at that point and would not have been eternally lost had I been in a car wreck or some such tragedy during those several days. I didn't understand there was so much animosity between oneness and trinitarians yet since other than my very strict Catholic Grandma who felt that there were three thrones representing the godhead along with one for every saint, I knew there was only ONE God no matter how many forms He chose to take.
But THIS is now my view of salvation after hearing oneness folks debate, even amongst themselves, added to the laundry list of apostolic identity items and plan of salvation is looking more like this to me now:

So you're confident you can know everything about a man simply by his fruit! I think not!
Do you bear fruit? Have you ever sinned? Whoa.... what happened to your fruit? Have you ever had to deal with a hidden sin over a period of time? How could this short-coming be judged by your fruit?
Only God knows it all! Not you, not Apprehended, (apprehended by what? I almost thought he was apprehended by an ugly spirit???) not me, nor anyone else on this forum.
