LS: " I don't buy all this rape business "
This is just coming in ... and I will need the entire context ...
but it seems Lee Stoneking has struck a nerve with a few in a recent sermon ...
Here is the FB quote ... I will let you decide:

SHOCKING! In perhaps the most irresponsible statement I have ever heard from the pulpit, Lee Stoneking states in his sermon "The Freedom of Forgiveness": "Sexual sins are most usually consensual and that means both parties consent to commit. I don't buy all this rape business...

More to come.

That would be wise. It might also be wise for one to hear the whole thing in context before reporting it.
But... to each their own.

Without hearing it in context, my guess would be that he's talking about statutory rape. I would like to hear it for myself, though, if *anyone* wants to post a link.

Ya, statutory rape would actually fit into what he is saying. If that is what he means he has my agreement, if not..... well we just have to hear the whole sermon or thought.

Waiting to find out how recently he's preached this ... the two references I found are grainy audio messages from 1998 ... although LS is known to recycle messages ... his focus and repertoire as of late has been on angels, HMH, Acts 2:38 and some singles messages
I will listen to them ...

I don't think this should be posted until you get the whole sermon, Daniel. And document it!!

Really, really doubt he meant that he doesn't believe in rape in general.
