My point is that every church has standards. If you don't want to go along with those standards, there is probably another church out there for you.
To try to get back to my point, would you let someone wearing "Daisy Dukes" and a halter top sing in the choir?

It isn't about right or wrong. It's about appropriateness. The same lady wouldn't wear her Daisy Dukes working behind the counter at a department store either. When we go swimming next month in the Caribbean I will be wearing cloths I wouldn't not wear to a job interview. So no, Daisy Dukes and a halter top are probably not appropriate clothing for the choir. But that train of logic doesn't make them wrong either.

Some on here do not want to admit that their church has standards, because it would undercut their argument about the "bad and evil" UPC, with its "non-biblical" standards.
Every church has "standards" or "rules" that are not found in the Bible.
Whether they want to admit it or not!

No, not every church has these insane standards. If any pastor you've had wouldn't allow a woman in the choir because of some phony-baloney rule about earrings, then he/she was a "Standards Nazi".

"Daisy Dukes"? As soon as that ever happens in our church, or any other church in America, I'll let you know what I would do. But you're proposing the typical ridiculous argument by comparing a box of Cheerios to a bazooka. Daisy Dukes are inherently indecent as about 98% of the population would agree, while earrings are repeatedly spoken of positively in the bible.

When you say "every church has it's standards..." you sidestep the point. Not every church has standars that exceed or are in variance to the scripture. And BTW, I think it is rather amazing that AMF has "bad blood" with AFF. I know who is behind the former, and the bright light of critical discussion is NOT something that is desired in that arena.

Every church does have it's standards. Every church has standards that cannot be found to the exactness in scripture.
What I do not understand is why some feel the urgent need to correct every standard, that they disagree with.
Let me ask you this question. Was it ever considered "immoral" for a woman in America to wear pants?
