My brother, that can be defined as a major problem. When pastors forget they are not the head of the church, but are undershepherds, charged with the tending of the sheep under the commands and ways as assigned by the Shepherd alone, that kind of problem erupts.

Re: Beards?
Okay folks - back to the subject at hand - beards.
Ladies, that seems to be one 'dress code' you get to skip.

I've known several women with facial, and leg, hair.

But I have yet to hear it being preached against! I wonder who will be the first?

Re: Beards?
I asked one pastor if I shaved my goatee - would he shave his facial hair?
He said I don't have any facial hair...I said... What do you call those two big black hairy things over your eyes?
The whole hair issue is so totally ignorant and people outside the "Apostolic" movement think it is stupid and initiated by men that could not grow facial hair - effeminate men - weak men - that were intimidated by men in the A/G that had facial hair.
I think this whole restriction of facial hair on men came from weak sissified control freaks!

There are a few preachers rumored to preach women shouldn't shave or pluck or wax eyebrows or legs. I know the rumor is true about eyebrows. Not sure about legs.

I went to a church for a little while that wouldn't order any literature that might depict Jesus with facial hair. The pastor insisted that we not look like "the world" and yet confidently explained that the Jews of Jesus' time followed the Roman custom of not wearing facial hair. ...'So, pastor, Jesus followed the customs of the Romans, barbarians who overtaxed His people and killed innocents, but we shouldn't wear wedding bands or have Christmas trees because they were used in pagan celebrations (ahem, ROMAN celebrations) 2000 years ago?' Like I said, I wasn't there long...

I knew a preacher (and his fellowship group) who preached against women shaving their legs, armpits, or plucking their eyebrows.
I knew a lot of preachers who preached against plucking eyebrows.
