Oh how life rolls

So, I was getting prepared for the next day of work on thursday night. I thought, "Dear Lord, i have to go back to that place again and deal with those cranky, happiness draining people." They have the worst language and all think that my going to church is beyond silly. I go in that place and all my convictions and my good nature seem to be shoved out the door as im coming in. Besides that, i get there at 7am and dont leave till 6pm so i never seem to be at home with my 3 year old.

Anyways, long story short, i was sitting there thursday night thinking about how im going to be stuck there forever. Friday morning rolls around and i drag myself into work. Boss calls me into the office and i get laid off.

Now what i have to ask myself is if God has something better planned for me? Or is that just what i get for complaining about the gift i'd been given of having a job in these tough times?

Don't beat yourself up too bad, I seriously doubt God is punishing you for your realistic thoughts and struggles that are common to us all...

Let's pray there be a new start awaiting you and his will be done. We will all join you in prayer.

That's awful news. I don't know the answers to your questions but I'll pray for you and your family.

It's a new start. God never closes one door without opening another one. Maybe you can consider some sort of work from home idea. I just prayed for you in this situation.

Re: Oh how life rolls

Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and encouragment. I would love to be able to start a business from home (thats not a daycare) to stay with my son but who can say. I'll leave it up to our glorious father on that and just do the best i can in the meantime

Re: Oh how life rolls

We have to trust in The Lord,to work things out. I'm discouraged plenty myself, but I just have to trust in The Lord. It's difficult and at times and my emotions get out of whack, and yes I feel burnt, but I know The Lord knows best.
