This Is A Sad Month For Me
This is a sad month for me. 42 years ago, I lost my Mama. 24 years ago, I lost a son. April will be 26 years since I lost a daughter. They say time heals all wounds, sometimes they re-open when you least expect it.
Tell your loved ones you love them today, even if they're gone.
I loved you Mama, John Michael, and Amelia Nicole. Thankful that I know y'all are free of pain, and are with our Heavenly Father. Will see y'all again someday.

You've certainly endured some heartache, sis. I'm sorry for your loss and pray those wounds heal over for you.

I'm so sorry Cindy for your loss. I am unable to appreciate what you have and are going through for I've never had to walk the same road as you. The loss of my mom and dad was a great loss. But it's normal for kids to bury their parents. But to have to bury two children is beyond comprehension. My thoughts and prayers are with you today. Thank God He has kept you around to be a blessings to others.
Happy Valentine's Day to a special person!

Cindy I want to share with you a special poem, a favorite of mine. Your loved ones are in full bloom today in God's garden of love.
“The Rose Beyond The Wall”
Near a shady wall a rose once grew, Budded and blossomed in God's free light, Watered and fed by morning dew, Shedding it's sweetness day and night.
As it grew and blossomed fair and tall Slowly rising to loftier height, It came to a crevice in the wall Through which there shone a beam of light.
Onward it crept with added strength With never a thought of fear or pride, It followed the light through the crevice's length And unfolded itself on the other side.
The light, the dew, the broadening view Were found the same as they were before. And it lost itself in beauties new, Breathing its fragrance more and more.
Shall claim of death cause us to grieve And make our courage faint and fall? Nay! Let us faith and hope receive; The rose still grows beyond the wall.
Scattering fragrance far and wide, Just as she did in days of yore; Just as she did on the other side, Just as she will for evermore.

Re: This Is A Sad Month For Me
Some years are worse than others. Sometimes I am able to not keep myself distracted from grief. But I always have that blessed hope that I will see them again, in a much better place!!
Thank you, JimH, BT, and Elizabeth.

Cindy, It broke my heart to read your post. Most of us will have to deal with losing our parents but no parent should have to deal with losing one child must less two.
I can't even imagine what it must be like. Losing my dad when I was 13 almost 40 years ago still affects me today and losing my sweet mom a year and half ago still hurts.
A couple of days ago I was thinking about my dad while driving and got all choked up and tears in my eyes. Then I thought to myself that this was a wonderful tribute to a man who only had 13 years to make an impression on his son and it has been a lasting one.
I will be praying that the Holy Spirit will indeed be a comforter to you as promised.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I know what you mean, CC1. My Mom instilled a lot of values in me in 16 years. She was a woman of great faith, that is how many remember her. She and my grandmother are why I have this great Heritage. They just lived the life, and were great examples.
