No one has a problem with Obama getting some credit as it happened under his watch. What we do have a problem with is the not acknowledging that Bush's leadership laid the groundwork to get it done. Everyone - Bush, Obama and military should get equal credit for this job.

The courier they "followed" was identified in 2007 and in 2009 they located where the man operated. The security steps that were taken, didn't allow them to pinpoint the location until August.

I can only surmise that they followed him for some time to gather up more intelligence. It was an ongoing search and Bush should not be excluded in the credit.

No, I don't think that going to Iraq to get Saddam was anything to do with getting Osama bin Laden.

Actually this compound was a few hundred miles from the ocean. So they must have removed the body and kept travinging straight to the ocean.
Somethin g fishy? Transparent? In theory, they can get DNA from the site. Since they burned all the trash in the compound, it seems the neighbors used trash collectors.

Nothing fishy going on, but only in the minds of republicans that just hate to admit that we have a wonderful President. Osama bin Laden was shot in the left eye, his body was brought out and put in the helicopter. The body was given back to be buried within the 24 hours of death. If you would only listen to MSNBC instead of FOX, then you could get all the information and on time.

This is what I was wondering about - how long does the DNA testing take? How did they have the necessary equipment to do that in such a short amount of time? I suppose they could have already prepared for it in advance, knowing what they were getting into with this compound raid.

Burying him at sea was a good idea, IMO, as they can't make his grave a shrine for a martyr.
