Re: Pentecostals Vs. Charismatics

No offense, but I don't find anywhere in Scripture that support a "partial salvation". You're either in the Kingdom of Jesus or in the Kingdom of darkness. I don't see any middle ground.

Dont get me wrong. If one dies without having done what the Apostles taught they should not expect salvation. I refer to ones journey starting from the beginning. They have that time to make things complete. If they dont there is no partial salvation. They will be lost far as I can tell from scripture.

Same as one who has repented, been baptized and filled with the spirit. If in the end their works are not perfect their name is blotted out of the book of life Rev. 3:5

So our salvation is only final when we endure to the end.

Re: Pentecostals Vs. Charismatics

I think when you sincerely give your life to Jesus and leave your own path, you are saved at that point. Then I think there are things to do to follow through with God's plan, but I don't think you're any more saved than you are at that initial conversion.

They have confused "salvation" with "things that accompany salvation!"

What do you mean by giving your life to Jesus and leaving your path? Would that include putting him on in baptism? Receiving his Spirit?

I think Jesus is the one that said it?

3:2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
3:4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Rev. 3:2-5

I will be glad to discuss it in another thread. I guess we have taken this one off topic far enough.
