They allow differences of opinion as to the interpretation of Acts 2:38 (eg: PCI & PAJC) but require any member (minister) to have experienced repentance, baptism in Jesus' name and infilling of the Holy Ghost (w/the evidence of speaking in other tongues). They also make room for differences of opinion in eschatalogical doctrine.
They do background checks on all ministers that apply for membership.
It's very new (8 years old), and has an emphasis on YOUTH, MISSIONS and FELLOWSHIP.

Re: ACN National Conference in Bryant, Arkansas
I've been a member of the ACN for almost a year now. I will be Ordained in the Ordination service this year. My reservations are booked, my registration is paid and I'm ready to get there! The Apostolic Christian Network is definitly a great movement.
It is fairly new for those who havn't heard of it and is definitly Oneness / Apostolic. I think it organized in 2004, some of the main differences to me is the allowing of differences on personal standards to exist in the same fellowship....and no one tries to tell you what you can and can't do. I don't like to get into the discussion much, but to answer the question....I'm sure there are minister's of all 3 persuasions in regards to salvation and what many of you refer to as "1, 2, and 3 steppers."
My understanding is that they were organized to provide a network of Apostolics who may not agree on everything, but are still Apostolic. My new church plant in Corsicana, TX is called The Gathering.... www.thegatheringministries.org
We consider Bro. James Baker our friend and pastor and attend his church as much as possible in Mesquite.
Sis. Alevear, our chairman James Baker has a brother who is a missionary to Brazil, and He was raised there. He travels there often and still oversees a group of Churches. I think they are called something like Omega...I think they now fall under the ACN missions department.

The Bryant church that is holding the convention (though they are UPC) has been shifting this direction for a while now.

Jesus does background checks. He wrapped up calling and ordination of king David, Moses and Paul. Do folks get forgiven from their past or are only those with clean records worthy?

You'll need to ask the leadership of the ACN as to the reason for a background check. Don't you think it is wise?

Jesus does forgive Sex Offenders and Child rapists...but the law doesn't....and Churches and Religious Orgs are held accountable to the Law to make sure that a minister who may have a forgiven, yet spotty past, is not placed in supervision of children...
