I do feel many dont understand yet the gravity of our situation.

"As the days get darker..." ???
Dude, things have improved pretty much over the past 500 years. Where have you been? We've got it good compared to our forebears.
Other than the fact your apostrophe key isn't working, "the situation" really ain't all that bad. Now, consider the churches in the Middle East... what's left of them. Think about the effects the Mongol invasions had on Eastern Europe directly and the rest of Christendom indirectly.
It's been quite a while since anyone built a 100 foot pyramid out of human skulls. One third of Europe was killed during the Black Death of the 14th Century. You ever been through anything like that?
There is a lot of room for "us" to catch up with some of the horrors of the past. Just look at how bloody the 20th Century was, between WW1, WW2, Stalin's genocides, the Holocaust, Pol Pot, Mao's slaughters and the many other bloody, bloody purges. Yet, that wasn't "The Time of the End." That was just a mess.
Write it down... maybe you should write on something that won't burn too easily:
"While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."
That certainly doesn't mean that things won't get nasty from time to time, just look at the 20th Century. But, the earth remains.
