They blush. Visibly, with no hair to hide it.
Religious traditions are harder to break than a caffeine habit. Trust me, I have had to bust them both a few times!

Re: DKB
Have had a beard, not had one, and am growing one again. Nothing unbiblical about it. Such religious spirits are of the devil to say that the natural growth of hair or the abstinence thereof is a measure of spirituality. Call me liberal if that is the case, but Jesus calls me friend.

I saw an Easter play once, where Jesus got crucified with a beard, and when he rose from the dead he was clean shaven

That is really upping the ante!

Our Pastor Emeritus has been referred to on this board as The Bearded One.
Back before he had his beard - when he was my pastor, I was a junior bible quiz coach. I got some sideways looks for even a hint of a goatee while we were at a tournament. He heard complaints about it, but told me that he didn't think it was Biblical, and I didn't have to shave. I decided to shave to avoid him getting more grief, but I appreciated the gesture.
I don't mind when Pastors have that preference for their church, but if they try to call it Bible, I start losing respect and confidence in their ministry.

Exactly. The problem is very few can articulate the position with inferring that GOD has such a preference too!

My daughter attended an Easter play with a friend. Their Jesus had long blonde hair and a pink heart on his cheek. I don't think she stayed for the duration of the play.
