Not unless you count the cats as kids... and we do... but no real kids, no, thank God.

I get to keep the cats which for now is fine with me. I need the company, and they're good company.

No house. No other joint assets except the car, which she's letting me keep and not forcing me to sell.

She wants a clean break. Start over with her own life and wants nothing from me at all. An uncontested, 'non-messy' divorce.

Although it has been over 20 years ago, I went through a very very similar trial. It ain't easy by no means but God is, as you have indicated, your refuge and your hope!
