Tony Evans? James Dobson? Don Wildmon? They are not even Charismatics. Even IHOP who spent much of the time onstage has only a distant connection with NAR.

The article insinuates THEY are the army behind Rick Perry. Hes probably never even heard of them.

Well, the article said these people were involved. I'll try to verify it, but not sure if I want to spend the time on it.

Im just saying the NAR did not seem to be represented there. They have a bad reputation so Im just saying the end of the article seemed to be trying to connect them with Perry.

I don't know, Michael. I sure want to look at this a little closer. This was in the Observer on Aug. 3, 2011:

In all the media attention surrounding Perry’s flirtation with a run for the presidency, the governor’s budding relationship with the leaders of the New Apostolic Reformation movement has largely escaped notice. But perhaps not for long. Perry has given self-proclaimed prophets and apostles leading roles in The Response, a much-publicized Christians-only prayer rally that Perry is organizing at Houston’s Reliant Stadium on Aug. 6.

Eight members of The Response “leadership team” are affiliated with the New Apostolic Reformation movement. They’re employed or associated with groups like TheCall or the International House of Prayer (IHOP), Kansas City-based organizations at the forefront of the movement.

America needs saving..at this time 1200 people will convert to Christianity in China in the next hour...

Now I know that China is a barren wasteland for souls and Christianity never made a dent in it's population until communism too over..think about this..

In 1950 is was thought that China had near one million Christians..
today they have well above a hundred million..and counting 20 plus thousand per day..

won't be long fore we have fallen behind...

Are they dangerous? Well if a Church that has as its primary focus living out the Sermon On The Mount lifestyle then yes they are. They are dangerous to the lukewarm and sinning Christians.

IHOP is the best CHARISMATIC Church I have ever known.

Micheal, I hope you don't think that I posted this information because I am against IHOP. That was not my intention. I was simply surprised to run across the information and wanted to post it here for others to see.

I'm not going to embrace everything that comes along with open arms. Neither am I going to dismiss everything as out of order or whacky. I will simply file some of this in the back of my mind and see if, at some point, something comes of it.

And, BTW, it is a very lengthy read. Did you read the whole thing?

Yes, I know all about Rachel Maddow and I did see the link at the bottom of the page. The Observer is supposed to be bipartisan, but it does advocate for liberal causes. The story is circulating (CNN) and so, like you said, I do want to investigate.
