This worked really well for those who were taught in person and in their own launguage by the Apostles, and living in the same culture as the Apostles.

For those of us who love the Lord today, it's a bit more complicated sometimes to figure out what exactly was said/meant.

that is very true...some things work in one culture that do not work in another one. We know bedrock never changes but customs and cultures do...
