Charleston Pentecostal Church

I am reading a book right now by Steven Straub, entitled "Changed". It is an excellent presentation of the Post-Tribulation rapture. His website says that he attends Charleston Pentecostal Church in Maine. I looked up the church website and i don't really see any indicators of an Apostolic background. Just wondering if anyone is familiar at all with this church or if anyone knows if it has had any connection to the Oneness movement. Their statement of faith seems pretty trinitarian but Mr. Straub gives an excellent lecture that appears to be of Oneness persuasion when explaining that the "Day of Christ" and the "Day of the LORD" in the scriptures is the same event. He explains very well that Jesus Chris was and is Jehovah incarnate.

Just seems odd...maybe i'll type up some exerpts from this book on how Jesus is Jehovah when i get the gumption. A oneness explanation if i ever heard one! His teaching on Post-trib "rapture" is pretty good too. I have never seen the scripture presented in such a way.

Folks, the assumption that Trinitarians do NOT believe Jesus is Jehovah is a fundamental problem among Oneness Pentecostals.

They deserve at least a cursory reading of their doctrine if we have the gall to condemn or judge them on the same.

Shame on us.

They believe Jesus is one of three Jehovahs. I assume that most Oneness who are well studied know this.

Closer perhaps, but yet again a misrepresentation. Show me a Trinitarian statement of faith that mentions "three Jehovahs" please.

No one is asking OPs to agree with Trinitarians or even say it makes sense. But please don't lie on people to further your own position.

They believe the Father is Jehovah. They believe the Son is Jehovah. They believe the Spirit is Jehovah. They believe there are three distinct persons. I have studied with them many, many times.
