Well, apparently not all of us. Let's say a remnant? : )

My point is clarified by many of the threads on this forum alone. We got a man-ruled world which is quickly devolving into a one world government. All the governments of the world is working to bring this about.

And we have man ruled churches in this world, which make the rules if you want to be part of their club. Look at the "If you are a trinitarian you are lost" thread.

Then there is the "church rules" thread where people cannot attend or be a member of a certain church unless they obey everything their pastor ruled.

Bah! Mankind has only enslaved people in all corners of the earth.
We will not have true government or freedom until Christ returns to claim his bride.

Well, that is just hypocrisy, yes? I'd say a great "of the world" test might be a person's indifference to "the direction that things go," especially when we are assured that they are going to get so bad we're going to have the time "shortened"?

although His first coming was...universally? misunderstood, and I'm pretty sure His second is widely misrepresented...
and, you are free to institute this into your life, whenever you wish? I have also, which means We have...which means...

Re: Politics is "Of the World?"

Um, but I was really interested in hearing more about how political people justify this belief, which I really haven't heard in the admittedly earnest posts in the attempt.

Or, if you prefer, how do you personally overcome "No, you do not either want a king-but you are apparently going to insist on finding out the hard way."?

I vote as often as I find out about an election. I try to pick the best candidate, and then live with my choice.

The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution established us as the rulers of our nation, not the politician. Therefore, I can not as a good ruler refrain from participating in the government. I must also work with fellow rulers to ensure that our laws are good, just, and morally proper. If others have a problem with that, that is too bad. God ordained human government, and this is ours.

I'm not bashing being politically active, or shouldn't be; by all means, seek to do good where you are, and recognize that politics are a reality for...well, the mostly developed countries, at least. But I'd say recognize, that is don't ignore, how you are manipulated in the current system, and see that we have been told that it won't always be like it is now.

What Scripture do you use for "God ordained human government?" Ty

Our nation is not now and never was Christian. While it is true that many Puritans migrated here to avoid religious persecution, most of the early leadership in America were Freemasons, many atheists. Nothing shows me a preachers ignorance more than for him to expound from the pulpit on how God blessed this nation because it was founded on Christian principles and how God is now or will in the future remove our blessings if we don't 'return' to him.

America took what she has by force, just like The Roman Empire before her. We are a big bloated fat cat nation of godlessness and waste that is deservedly hated by many and will no doubt, if the Lord tarries, end in the way that every nation like us has before.

Have no doubt; God is sovereign and his plan for the U.S. and the rest of earth will be fulfilled. We can vote until Jesus comes back but it will not make a wit of difference to how it all turns out. Those who waste a lot of time and brain space on politics are just amusing themselves. It's all vanity.

Better to prepare and help others prepare for the coming Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ than to spend time trying to fix this broken kingdom that we live in.

Everything makes a difference. To live as if ones choices and decisions make no difference is the ultimate vanity.

It's better to do both and leave neither undone.
