I can accept that Christians can and do struggle with sinfulness (I will admit that I do at times myself) but to give a special title to those saved from a homosexual lifestyle, because they have an occasional sinful temptation is wrong, and in fact, adds to the problem.
What do you think about having a Gay Christians support group at your church Ferd?

Re: Common Myths about Gay Christians
Aquila, suppose a normal unmarried guy got saved, and kept being a hound-dog, laughed at celibacy, would he qualify as a "Hound-dog Christian?"
And in all fairness, wouldn't this be fairly termed an issue of youth? My meaning being that for about 10 years or so, humans are pretty hormonal, and decisions that seem unthinkable at 20 become options at 35?

We still freak out at the little word "gay". lol

Are you saying that a Christian, who has same gender attraction and chooses to be celibate out of love and devotion for Christ, has no right to admit, or acknowledge, that they are gay?

Coadie, you and I have no right to tell a person they are not born again, especially if they live a life of celibate love and devotion for Christ. Something few straight Christians do.

No one is giving them a "special title". Lol
Gender is a very important part of our identity. They simply want to be loved and acknowledged for who they are. In my opinion, if they are committed to a life of celibacy to honor Christ, I think it's a small request.
