Clergy Collar
What do you think of ministers wearing a clergy collar?
Do you wear a clergy collar?
I personally do not wear a clergy collar but have no problem with it.

Re: Clergy Collar
I signed the license/credentials application for both of these brethren --one as a bishop and the other as an elder. I've seen both of them wearing clergy collars and have no problem with it. The younger man is shown in the headquarters church of the CoJC organization with which I am ordained.

Re: Clergy Collar
Personally I think it makes one look like something from The Roman Catholic church.
It would seem to go to the idea that there is a rank system in the body of Christ which is unbiblical in my opinion.
There is no clergy laity division in the word.

Re: Clergy Collar
Actually it looks like the collar has had broad acceptance among most denominations, with the Roman Catholics not being among the first.
"Invented in the Presbyterian Church, the clerical collar was adopted by other Christian denominations, including Anglican Church, Methodist churches, Eastern Orthodox Church, Baptist churches, Lutheran churches, and the Roman Catholic Church.[3] In 1967, the Roman Catholic Church adopted the clerical collar after the abandonment of the cassock, which was discouraged in the public.[6][7] Anglican clergy generally wore the collar so that it was visible all the way round, but the Roman collar differs in that it was a black band of the cloth revealing the white collar centre front.[3][8] Clergy of various denominations will today wear either style as preferred or appropriate to the occasion." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clerical_collar
