Last night, after posting on this thread, writing what I did and defending myself, I am very sore in my shoulders and neck and back. That is what usually happens. Not to mention a lot of time spent here.

So.....I'm signing off again for a while.

Oh, I should share though before I go that I start nursing school in the fall. I am excited and scared to death.
I think it is, generally, depressing bringing up the past.

Congratulations and good luck with your nursing school! I know you will do well!

I think what is depressing is being bashed for bringing it up. Anyhoo....we see it differently.

Thanks! I have been taking pre-nursing classes for a number of years. This fall starts the core classes and I am leaving my job. I am excited though.

You can grow crazy in your mind wanting someone to get their comeuppance, but it ultimately lies in the hands of God, who knows and sees all things.
I think you are over-simplifying things.

If we follow your advice to its logical conclusion there would be no prosecutors. No punishment. No prisons.

In fact, your worldview is that rapists should simply be forgiven. Murderers too. Thieves. Child abusers.

Let's just forgive them and move on? Is that your premise?

Vengeance IS God's, but we should pray that He executes it as quickly as possible. Examples?

Revelation 6:10

"And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?"

Genesis 4:10

"The Lord said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground."

There are some abuses that simply cannot be forgotten. They alter our lives forever. Not because we want them to, but because the injuries change our physical body, and the way we process things mentally.

It is the height of ignorance and lack of compassion to say "just get over it."

I believe God gets angry at people who touch his bride with evil motives.

Re: So Much Hurt On This Forum

Btw, God does exact vengeance on those who are guilty of the crucifixion of Jesus. That includes every person who's ever lived. That's why we are commanded to repent.

And when Jesus comes again, it will be with a flaming sword. This notion of a docile Jesus is warped and unBiblical.

Oh Lord, I made you depressed and you made me feel depressed. We better get together and talk about our Catholic days when we were drunks. Ya think?

I was Catholic my first 11 1/12 years and don't have bad memories of it per say. It all just seemed very very somber. LOL The typical Mass was certainly not spirit filled but had a strong sense of dignity.

I have to admit though to having a soft spot for midnight mass on Christmas eve.
