But a continuous diet of "poor me" gets old. Really old. At some point, you have to move on in your life, and let go as much as possible of the past. Digging it up and rehashing it over and over, really serves no purpose.

I have found I really can't read that stuff any longer, but just pray that each one of those poor souls finds a place to heal.

Good post! That is exactly the reason, even though registering at the Spirtual Abuse website, I never read or post there. Spent a little while checking it out and knew that it was not the place for me. Beating a dead horse is totally unproductive, IMO.

It is a site which has its place. It shows someone that they are not alone. Is it healthy to hang out there and ready every story for the next 10 years? I doubt it.

Yes, I agree with you, RW. I know Lois Gibson and her site. She takes great care to make it a place where people can talk without being attacked for what they are saying. So, I think that it is a good place for some people to talk about these issues if they feel they need a safe place to talk without being attacked.

I thought Louis used to post here quite a bit if I'm not mistaken.

She used to but I haven't seen her around in quite a while. I get her mass emailings once a month or however often she sends them out. I know she is having meetings in a few states with members. She also gives out a lot of material on her website on spiritual abuse. I rarely sign in to the site so I don't know much more than that.
